The Lunar Wastes and the Moondust Sea are influenced by the novels and films of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dune_(novel)\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dune_(novel)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dune by Frank Herbert<\/a>, the oddball &#8217;70s film <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/A_Boy_and_His_Dog_(1975_film)\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/A_Boy_and_His_Dog_(1975_film)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Boy and His Dog<\/a> (adapted from a Harlan Ellison story) as well as the anime film <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nausica%C3%A4_of_the_Valley_of_the_Wind_(film)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nausica\u00e4 of the Valley of the Wind<\/a>.
